According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, aerospace engineers earn $80,000 per year, a number that has remained stable for decades.
In 2016, it was $84,000, according to the US Department of Labor.
That’s up from $71,000 in 2009.
It’s still below the $100,000 average of $94,000.
The number of aerospace engineers is expected to continue to rise.
The BLS is expected report in January on a survey of the industries that support the US aerospace industry.
