The company is set for a big year in 2021, as it prepares to roll out its commercial ferry technology for the first time.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has granted Aorus the go-ahead to begin commercial ferry testing on a vessel for testing in 2021 and 2018.
DOT officials have granted a $1.6 billion loan for Aorus to start testing.
The company is seeking to build a passenger ferry system in the United States that will be capable of ferrying a maximum of 20,000 people.
The Aorus F100 is expected to have a maximum capacity of 25,000 passengers.
At the heart of the Aorus system is the Arakus Engine, which is a lightweight, compact engine that powers the A-100’s propulsion.
According to Aorus, the ARA-1 will be the first commercial engine for a new type of ferry system.
It is designed to run on hydrogen fuel cells, with the use of hydrogen in the propulsion system.
Arakus is a hybrid design, meaning that the engine and the fuel cells are in a separate package, with a separate tank.
The system uses hydrogen fuel cell fuel in the rear, which has a fuel cell charge in the front.
Unlike other types of commercial vessels, which require separate propulsion and a separate fuel cell for each hull, Arakuses are built to work together.
“The design of the vehicle and the engine for ArakUS provides a system that allows a single vessel to be powered by a single type of propulsion system,” Arakuis CEO Andrew Bynum said in a statement.
“The combined propulsion system has the capacity to carry up to 20,00 passengers.”
Bynum noted that the AVA-1, or “a single, flexible, and fuel-efficient propulsion system” will allow the Araus to operate in “unprecedented and unprecedented levels of capacity, safety, and efficiency.”
The design also enables the Ava-1 to carry an additional 3,500 kilograms (8,600 pounds) of cargo than other commercial ferry vessels.
While the Aora is a small vessel, it will have a large passenger cabin.
AVA will also feature two landing bays, a lift deck for passengers and crew, and a cargo area for cargo.
The vessel will be able to carry 5,500 passengers at maximum capacity.
With its large passenger capacity, the vessel is expected with more than 10,000 seats.
As the Airais F100 and Arais A-10 have proven, commercial ferrying is a highly competitive market.
Arianespace, the European Space Agency’s commercial rocket launch company, recently completed its first flight from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Russia, to the Baader-Monash Space Launch Centre in Australia.
Brennan said the Aaruuses goal is to “break through the current limitations of a single-engined, fuel-electric ferry” to be able operate as a full fleet with both power and passenger capacity.
“The Aaruus F100 will not only deliver more fuel to the market but will allow Arianes to take advantage of the world’s fastest, most efficient fuel-electrics for a range of services,” he said.
“We have a lot of work to do to make the Aarais the world standard for commercial ferry operation.”
Aaruus is expected take delivery of its first cargo vessel in 2021 or 2022.
